Recent projects have included a series of scientific illustrations for grants and research communication, designed to explain complex processes with clarity, accuracy, and visual impact. Each illustration is developed to make demanding scientific content more accessible without compromising precision.

Context

Scientific communication / grant support to explain a complex, multi-layered concept combining environmental exposure, biological systems, and AI-guided intervention.

Challenge

Represent both visible (plant, environment) and invisible processes (molecular changes, AI workflows, protein engineering) in a single, coherent visual.

Approach

Combined realistic imagery with schematic overlays, using spatial composition to separate layers (air, plant, soil, molecular level) and minimal iconography to guide interpretation without overwhelming the visual.

Outcome

A high-impact illustration that communicates a complex scientific concept in an intuitive and engaging way, bridging scientific accuracy and visual storytelling.

Condense a dense, multi-step process — combining computational analysis and experimental validation — into a format that remains clear, hierarchical, and publication-ready.

Approach

Structured the workflow into distinct sections, using consistent visual language, simplified diagrams, custom graphics and controlled color coding to guide the reader through each step without cognitive overload.

Outcome

A clean, intuitive figure that enhances understanding of the methodology while meeting the standards of scientific publishing.

Large-scale environmental system illustration

A comprehensive visual map showing how contaminants move across environmental systems, from land to water and through multiple infrastructures.

Context

Scientific project / environmental study requiring a clear overview of pollutant sources, pathways, and interactions across different sites and water systems.

Challenge

Represent a complex, multi-site system — including geography, infrastructure, and multiple contaminant types — in a way that remains readable and logically structured.

Approach

Used an isometric perspective to organize the landscape, combined with a consistent visual code (colors, symbols, labels) to track different contaminants and flows across the system.

Outcome

A clear, navigable overview that allows viewers to quickly understand relationships between sites, pathways, and contamination sources within a complex environment.
